Who turned the clock:
Extended opening hours for early birds
Who turned the clock? We did! Starting next Monday, November 2nd, 2020, our kindergartens in Cologne Lindenthal, Junkersdorf and Widdersdorf will serve you for half an hour longer every day. From next week onwards, our gates will open every day at 7.30 a.m. This additional service is financed by the City of Cologne and is free of charge for parents.
Core caregiving time will remain from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For early birds, however, there is now the possibility of bringing their children half an hour before.
This way, the rainbowtrekkers hope to make a further contribution to the compatibility of work and family life. The extended opening hours have been made possible by a gracious subsidy from the federal government’s “Good Daycare Act”.
We had originally looked for a way to particularly extend the opening hours of our facility in Widdersdorf, from where transport to the offices in the city center is poor and the access roads are clogged during the morning rush hour. However, as a result of our contact with the city of Cologne, there was now the opportunity to offer extended opening times in all of our facilities.
We would like to thank the City of Cologne for their positive and timely approval, and we look forward to serving you and your children at an early hour from next week onward whenever needed.
